Many consider Veggies to be one of the most ethical caterers on the circuit, with policies developed from over 30 years experience in organic / fair trade / pure vegetarian catering.

Ethical Consumer Best Buy logo Our burger & sosages, made by hand in our own premises, were rated as  the Best Buy in the May/June 2014 “Ethical shopping guide to vegetarian and vegan burgers & sausages” by the Ethical Consumer Research Organisation, the UK’s leading alternative consumer organisation. Since then, to reduce the environmental impact of the chilled food chain, we no longer sell frozen burgers, promoting our ambient mixes for retail, wholesale and catering.

Our email provider and website host, Greennet, our telecoms and broadband provider, the Phone Coop, and our energy provider Good Energy are also  Ethical Consumer Best Buy companies. Electricity at our Sumac Centre base is from 100% renewable sources, whilst at many events we generate energy from our own solar panels.

Vegan AwardOur detailed responses to Glastonbury’s Green Trading Standards questionnaire form an annual review of our ethical & sustainability policies.

We are 3-times winners of the ‘Best Vegan Caterer‘ Awards and many other awards by the vegan community.

To get to an event 100 miles from our Nottingham base, Veggies will emit 120kg CO2. However if ONE customer goes Vegan For Life, they will save 1.5 tonnes CO2 every year, as well as saving 4022 animals’ lives, helping all the world’s peoples to receive a Fair Share of the world’s resources. [refs]
