Described by The Guardian as having a ‘vast & extensive internet capability’, Veggies website has grown like Topsy.

Following early design as text-based html files, php driven pages were introduced from 2004, in particular using this database facility to compile over 1800 pages of information, including the Nottingham Events Diary and UK Animal Rights Calendar.

Finally, a decade into the 21st century, we are converting to interactive WordPress programming, but hope to keep all past data available to those searching out the huge amount of information we have gathered over the decades during which Veggies has provided the ‘ideological glue’ binding together the many groups and movements with whom we have worked.

We hope you will return for many virtual visits – there’s much more to find than you would expect.

Veggies Directory

For over 25 years we have been a valued networking point for some 7000 contacts, working for animal rights and welfare, as well as those working to protect people worldwide and the environment which we share with them.

Our directory currently being completely recompiled as an interactive web resource, allowing groups to add and update their own listings and facilitating improved networking between those with common interests.

Groups and contacts are invited and encouraged to add their details to Veggies Directory at http://www.veggies.org.uk/directory/.

Unconfirmed contact details may also be found in the old ‘Animal Contacts Directory‘ at http://www.veggies.org.uk/acd/index.htm
