This trading directory is based on the Vegan Business Connection (VBC), which encourages mutual support for completely cruelty-free businesses, ie. those using no animal ingredients whatsoever, and aiming to avoid all animal / environmental / human rights abuses. We have included info on the status of these entries, where known, using the following criteria:

1 - * Believed to have at least one vegan proprietor, and to be exclusively vegan *

2 - 'Believed to have at least one vegan proprietor, and to be predominantly vegan, and at least exclusively vegetarian.'

3 - 'Believed to supply vegan goods or services, but may not have vegan proprietors, or might not be entirely veg(etari)an.'

4 - 'The vegan status of entry is not known'.
