Veggie Pride : Veggie Pride
All over the world millions of people refuse to condone the killing of animals for food. But when do you hear about it? In 2013, the Veggie Pride will take place on Saturday, May 18th, in Geneva, Switzerland. It will be an international event for the first time, where activists are expected from many countries. Moreover, besides the Veggie Pride many actions and events will be held from May 16 to 20; conferences, a happening at the UN, another at the World Health Organization, an action on 20 May asking society to recognize legal rights for animals (right to life, to liberty, and to not be the property of someone), etc. All events will be authorized. Given the high prices in Switzerland, we will offer vegan food and housing at the lowest price possible. For more details, see the site of the International Veggie Pride in Geneva. In the UK, see the Vegetarian Society's Meat Free Manchester on the same date. (Veggie Pride UK was held in UK, Birmingham in 2009). |
