Two films and a talk by indigenous CIPO-RFM activists from Oaxaca, Mexico, speaking in the UK for the first time in their 7 year history.
The CIPO-RFM stands for the 'house of the poor fighting against injustice'. They are an organization of communities that use non-violent resistance against corporations, institutions and the government, similar to the Zapatistas of Chiapas. They are in the UK for a week, trying to make links with grassroots communities here, and spread the word about their struggle. This should be a uniquely fasinating evening... make sure you come along & tell your friends!
