Translate Pro Bono

Pro bono translations for ethical causes - connecting translators, activists and organisations

TranslateProBono - pro bono translations for ethical causes [a lingocode project]

TranslateProBono will be properly launched in July / August time with a People's Kitchen / Information Evening at the Sumac in Nottingham.

In brief:

TranslateProBono enables translators and multilingual activists to gain experience and help a cause they believe in.

Philosophy:

There are many texts out there currently available only in English, or other major languages. Similarly, there are some amazing writers who write only in a language other than English.

These texts need translating! Why? To enable true freedom and access to information, we have to think beyond English.

Activists abroad require our assistance by providing them with quality information in their language for distribution among would-be sympathetic people.

Similarly, we can benefit from their knowledge, unique insight and experience, by translating their texts for an English readership.

If interested, send a message for news on the project.
