Since 2004, Sound Bites worker's co-op has been promoting vegan, organic, local, fair trade and eco-friendly produce in Derby city centre.

There's a lot packed in, from delicious sandwiches and local veg to washable nappies and biodegradable balloons.

We also have noticeboards and produce a quarterly newsletter and monthly emailouts to spread awareness of community and campaigning activities.

On top of this we run a catering service and home delivery / veg box scheme.

Now also home  to Yaffle Cafe and Bookshop, a cafe and bookshop in a cosy little room above Sound Bites. It doesn't just sell books and tea, its got a social change library as well, and it sells hot snacks, and vegan friendly meals to friendly vegans, not to mention friendly non-vegans, and the occasional unfriendly grumbler!
