Sussex Action For Animals (SAFA)

	SAFA: Animal Rights group based in Brighton. We are involved in local as well as national campaigns

	SAFA campaigns against all animal abuse and exploitation. Local campaigns include the Sealife Centre, the Brighton and Hove Greyhound Stadium, shops selling fur and local companies that are associated with Huntingdon Life Sciences SAFA supports most of the national campaigns. Members of the group regularly travel to London to help with the Anti Fur protests as well as the SHAC campaign. We also support the SHAC campaign locally with demos at Novartis and Fischer, both associated with Huntingdon Life Sciences and based in Horsham. We are also involved in animal rescue and relocation. Almost every week SAFA helps transport to safety animals that were destined to be 'put to sleep'. We don't really have meetings but rely on facebook, emails and texts to bring people together. We are also on Myspace.
