Free food hygiene training course are provided from time-to-time for community-based catering projects, funded by the Food Initiative Group, a not-for-profit, local food partnership run by people interested in promoting healthy, sustainable food in Greater Nottingham.The courses are hosted by Sumac, with catering by Veggies. Veggies and Sumac volunteers, please email andrew@veggies.org.uk to reserve your place for a future course. It is recommended that anyone working with food take this refresher course each 3 years, to provide a valuable addition to anyone's CV. | |

Sumac provides resources, meeting spaces and skills for groups and individuals campaigning for human rights, animal rights, the environment, peace and co-operation world-wide. [wikipedia] On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, the Centre becomes the Forest Fields Social Club (FFCS a.k.a Sumac Bar) from 7.30. The FFSC is a members club, but membership is easy and guests are welcome. For gigs and fundraising benefits, guests can pay at the door and members are invited to make a donation.
