A weekend of networking, workshops, discussions, actions and social activities hosted by the Sumac Centre in Nottingham.ARC meetings are a great opportunity to meet up with other activists from all over the country, to catch up on the latest news about the current campaigns, and to swap ideas, tactics, skills and information. The city-wide (and beyond) Day of Action, included Fur Free Nottm, foie gras campaign, KFC, Greyhound Action, the 'great' British Circus and a vegan free food giveaway McDonalds demo. Stop Press: Following today's campaigning French Living have pledged to discontinue the sale of Foie Gras. And... thanks the the presence of Nottingham Hunt Saboteurs and many friends, NO FOXES WERE KILLED at by the Grove and Rufford Hunt, on the last day of their season. Meanwhile ..., residents at Waddington, near Lincoln, have pledged that the Great British Circus will never return. Also... the planning meeting to held by Nocton Dairy Farms Ltd at Nocton Village Hall, LN4 2BH was cancelled ... co-incidence?. This is in relation to a proposed dairy farm which would be the largest in the UK and would imprison 8,100 cows in sheds over 22 acres. More at https://lists.riseup.net/www/arc/nar/2010-03/msg00003.html To keep on campaigning see our Animal Campaigners Guide to Nottingham: http://bit.ly/bs9qyt The Animal Rights Coalition is an informal network which exists to promote cooperation and to spread information between the various groups and individuals working throughout the UK to stop animal abuse. | |
