Contact Nottingham Indymedia and similar groups via Veggies Directory

By connecting individuals and campaign groups together, we can disseminate information and raise awareness of local community concerns, campaigns and activities as well as issues of national and global relevance. The group in Nottingham has grown into one of the most successful Indymedia collectives in the UK. We have an ever expanding dedicated group of contributors and many readers, but we are looking for new people to get involved. The site has become an important resource which informs and inspires ourselves, our friends and others who care about injustice and wanting to create a better place for all. The site is now even listed by the BBC as an alternative local news source... So where do we go from here? Are you able to commit some time for media creation? Help out with publicity? Able to donate some money? As a collective we continually welcome and provide training and support to new volunteers, groups and contributors wanting to become involved with Nottinghamshire IMC. Anybody can get involved with the project and we encourage people to do so. Wheter it's working on websites, writing articles, making photo's (or cups of tea), working in the community, organising fundraising parties or help spreading information, making radio, writing funding applications, design and print tshirts, moving equipment around or just hang out, get in touch! If you would like to be involved email [notts-imc -at- riseup.net] Cheers, The Notts Indymedia Collective Check out the site for the latest news and help create YOUR local media by publishing your news on http://nottm.indymedia.org.uk. Come along to a monthly meeting at the Sumac Centre and get involved. 2013 meetings: 21 Jan, 18 Feb, 18 Mar, 15 Apr, 20 May, 17 Jun, 15 Jul, 19 Aug, 16 Sep, 21 Oct, 18 Nov, 16 Dec.
