The Northern Vegan Festival will be the biggest ever vegan festival in the north, so don't miss it! If it's a success, we plan to organise a festival in a different northern city each year.
The first Northern Vegan Festival will take place in Sachas Hotel in the heart of Manchester City Centre on Saturday 13th April 2013 from 10am - 6pm. The venue is a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly and Victoria train stations, and Chorlton Street National Express coach station.
There will be 100 stalls offering everything vegan, from toiletries, makeup and clothing to gifts, cakes and chocolate, as well as a chance to find out about national and local vegan organisations and groups.
Delicious food will be available from local vegan caterers and we will have some free samples from some of the finest vegan food companies, so make sure you come early before it's all gone!
There will be two rooms for talks, children's activities, films and cookery demos throughout the day.
Admission is just £1 (under 12's free) payable at the door.
For information about booking a stall, sponsoring the event or volunteering on the day please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can you help?Dear vegan and animal rights activists,
Is anyone interested in 2 hour shifts doing the following jobs at our Northern Vegan Festival in Manchester on April 13, there are just 2 organisers of our event, which means we need a lot of help?
Please say what times of the day you would like to work, as well as which job(s) you would like to do, so I can sort out a rota. All jobs are between 10am and 6pm except parking attendants, which we need between 8 and 10am, and between 6 and 8 pm.
Please note that we are volunteers organising a non-profit event whose proceeds will go towards the next Northern Vegan Festival, so in return for your work, we can only offer you free entry to the Festival, and possibly accommodation at someone's home if you need to stay over on the Friday night, or Saturday night (there is a free aftershow party at the Thirsty Scholar vegetarian/vegan pub until late, which possibly means 3am, as they have a license until then).
Finally, as we have plenty of spare posters and leaflets, if you would like leaflets for your local health food shop or veggie cafe, or posters for anywhere, including such places, just let me know how many you would like. I am in the middle of putting up well over 500 posters in Manchester, so you are welcome to hundreds for your city, or dozens for your town.

Veggies Climate Change Campaigns
To get to this event, 70 miles from our Sumac Centre base, Veggies may have emitted approx 80kg CO2. However by helping an estimated 500 people Eat Vegan we will "offset" 1000 kg CO2.
If ONE customer goes Vegan For Life, they will save 1.5 tonnes CO2 every year, as well as saving 4022 animals lives , and enabling all the world’s peoples to receive a Fair Share of the world’s resources. references
Whenever possible Veggies feature the publications of the Movement for Compassionate Living, which we print and distribute to promote simple living and vegan self-reliance as a remedy to the exploitation of humans, animals and the Earth.
We also support our nominated charity, Vegfam, ‘Feeding the hungry without exploiting animals’. If you can help us with either of these projects at this event, whilst we are busy with Veggies catering, please email email@example.com.
