London Anti-Fur Demos
There are demos every Saturday at shops selling fur. Regular targets include Harvey Nichols, Harrods and Joseph, as well as international campaign targets Escada and Max Mara.|
Possibly 12 midday - 4pm or later at Harvey Nichols 109 - 125 Knightsbridge, London, SW1X 7RJ. Nearest tube is Knightsbridge. Call 07432 294001. Placards and leaflets and will be available.

Following a campaign in 2004, Harvey Nichols introduced an ethical fur free policy. However in September 2013 the department store chain decided to drop its fur-free policy. It is vitally important to take action on this, if Harvey Nichols continues to sell fur, other department stores and fashion chains are likely to follow. Please come along to support the protest, you can help whether you can spare just an hour or the whole afternoon. There are also protests at Harvey Nichols in other cities

Following a campaign in 2004, Harvey Nichols' Company Director said: "The board has today reviewed the company's fur policy and has decided going forward that we will no longer stock real fur items."
In September, Harvey Nichols took the decision to renege on its fur free policy and start selling real fur again, after 10 years as a fur free company. Since then, there have been regular protests at the various branches to protest and to call on the public to boycott Harvey Nichols until they reinstate their fur free policy.
In October, Harvey Nichols' head of fashion Paula Reed was forced to resign over her decision to start selling fur again, but despite this the company has continued to sell fur. It is vitally important to take action on this, Harvey Nichols is very influential in the world of fashion. If Harvey Nichols gets away with it, other department stores and fashion chains are likely to follow. Department stores are much more important and influential than individual shops in the fashion.
Horrids Fur Campaign
Harrods continues to stock real fur, despite the UK fur farming ban. Harrods have stocked a wide range of fur coats, fur trim and fur boots and other accessories.
Animals used to make fur at Harrods included mink, blue fox, silver fox, musquash, rabbit, beaver, wolf, coyote, chinchilla and squirrel.
