The Great British Circus are currently in Romford, East London. They'll be there until Sunday 4th November. The exact address for them at this location is: Romford Bonzer Boot Fair Site Whalebone Lane North Opposite Moby Dick Pub RM6 6RB Here's a list of all the demo's taking place against them, at this site: Friday 26th October: Demo from 6pm to 7:30pm. Saturday 27th October: Demo from 3:30pm to 5pm. Tuesday 30th October: Demo from 5pm to 7pm. Friday 2nd November: Demo from 5pm to 7pm. Saturday 3rd November: Demo from 1pm to 2pm, and then demo from 4pm to 5pm. Please try your best to make at least one/as many of these important demonstrations as you can! The nearest Underground Station to the Circus is Newbury Park Station, which is on the Central Line. This Station is in fare zone 4. It's too far to walk from this Station to the circus, but you can get a number 66 Bus, or else a number 296 Bus instead, from outside this Station, in the direction of Romford. The Circus is only a few stops away on the Bus. Ask to go to Whalebone Lane North, Moby Dick Pub. The nearest National Rail Station to the Circus is Romford Station, and you can get fast and frequent Greater Anglia Trains to this Station, from Liverpool Street Station, and from Stratford Station too. Romford Station is in fare zone 6. It's too far to walk to the Circus from this Station too, but you can get a number 66 Bus, in the direction of Leytonstone, or else a number 296 Bus instead, in the direction of Ilford. The Circus is a few more stops away on the Bus, than from Newbury Park Station, but still near though. Once again you need to ask to go to Whalebone Lane North, Moby Dick Pub. You won't be able to get to Newbury Park Station on the Central Line this Saturday 27th October, due to engineering works taking place on this Line then. These engineering works will mean that the Central Line will be terminating at Leytonstone. You could still get to the Circus by Bus from outside Leytonstone Station, but it'll take you quite a bit longer to do this, than if you get a Bus from outside Romford Station to there. You can park in the Moby Dick Car Park, which is no more than a 5 minute walk from the Circus. Leaflets, placards and banners will all be provided for you to use, at these demonstrations. The Great British Circus is the only circus remaining in the UK which still has big cats, their travelling cruelty roadshow features tigers, reindeers, camels, ponies, goats, llamas and horses. If you live in the area, please try to remove illegal posters, (be careful of circus workers though!), and please try to ask shops and other businesses not to display them either. Contact number for all of these demo's, except the one's on Saturday 3rd November is: 07950 574 383. Contact number for the demo's on Saturday 3rd November is: 07870 915 576. For more information about animals in circuses, see the website: http://www.captiveanimals.org/our-work/circuses RSPCA Circus FAQ's here. This is one of only around 8 UK-based circuses using animals. However, that's 8 too many! We can't rely upon weak legislation to ban the use of animals in circuses. The Animal Welfare Bill (in its present form) is not proposing to ban this evil industry and will do little to protect any animal used. It's up to people like you to make a difference, by convincing others not to visit these mobile prisons and make them completely unprofitable and untenable. Circus Campaign Info ![]()
