The School of Biosciences, based at Sutton Bonington Campus, is one of the strongest teaching and research centres for fundamental and applied biological and food science in the UK.

The School of Biosciences is based at Sutton Bonington Campus and is one of the strongest teaching and research centres for fundamental and applied biological and food science in the UK.

The School comprises five divisions: Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Animal Physiology, Nutritional Sciences, Plant Sciences, and Food Sciences. Purpose-designed facilities include a multi-million pound controlled environment building for plant and crop science; specialised state-of-the-art research and teaching laboratories; an extensive glasshouse complex; food processing centre; robotic dairy unit and campus-based University farm.

Students are taught by leading specialists working in many of the rapidly developing areas of biosciences.

The School of Biology at the University of Nottingham is one of the UK's leading biology schools, offering degrees in biology, zoology, genetics, human genetics and biochemistry and genetics, as well as a postgraduate taught course in biological photography and imaging. The school has long-standing links with the School of Biosciences at the Sutton Bonington campus.
