Fundraising

People's Kitchen often compliments fundraising events at the Sumac Centre, with extra funds raised to benefit the benefit. If you would like to hold a fundraising event, including a People's Kitchen meal, please email sumaccafe[at]riseup.net.

During the summer break a collective of 13 Sumacers took the kitchen to Calais and cooked twice a day for 200 people without papers, as part of Calais Migrant Solidarity. It was totally exhausting and also amazing. It wouldn't have been possible without money raised from People's Kitchen.
