The Sparrows' Nest was established by the Anarchist Federation’s Nottingham group with the involvement of other class struggle anarchists. It is a ‘Centre for Anarchist Culture and Education’, set up to inform people about the ideology and history of Anarchism in its many forms, and about working class struggles in our region. F.R.I.E.N.D. Farmed Animal Rescue in Kent provide a permanent life-long home for abused, unwanted and orphaned farmed animals. About 150 animals, including pigs, cows, goats, geese, sheep, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, ferrets and a horse enjoy as natural a life as possible in the heart of the Kent countryside.
