Every day (EXCEPT Mondays and Saturdays) We have converted the Sumac Centre into a hub for the distribution of foods around our community, for those isolated at home or those that wish to distance themselves from the madness of Tesco & Asda. Goods can be ordered from the stock list and order form by email to sales@veggies.org.uk, for collection from Sumac Centre or delivery to about one mile radius. There is a drop-in facility between 11am & 3pm on Sundays…

Planning meetings continue for Nottingham Green Festival, a sustainable-themed festival, organised by a volunteer cooperative planning group. Nottingham Green Festival have sadly decided to cancel the event at The Arboretum planned for 13th September 2020.   As you will imagine it was a tough decision, but the organising group can now work on other options, including: booking for the 2021 Nottingham Green Festival, provisionally on Sunday 12th September 2021. a smaller bonus event in the Spring, possibly in April soon…

Nottingham's Rainbow Centre opened at 180 Mansfield Road on 9th September 1985, the co-operative having been established on 9th April 1984 by campaigners for peace, animal rights, human rights, civil liberties and the environment.   Veggies Catering Campaign (established 18th October 1984) moved in from Earthwise (the FoE Shop next door) when it closed, later taking on the day-to-day running of the centre.
