Nottingham Green Festival

Nottingham Green Festival

The 25th  Nottingham Green Festival will be held on Sunday 17th September 2017, organised by grass roots, community based volunteers.

Everyone that supports the event – stall holders, caterers, campaign groups, performers, volunteers & everyone attending – all are invited to share feedback and to help with ideas for the 2017 event.

We welcome your feedback via Facebook, Twitter or email.

The 2016 Nottingham Green Festival was held on Sunday 11th September at The Arboretum, Waverley Street / Addison Street, NG7 4HF, one minute from the High School Tram Stop and a few minutes from Nottingham’s Old Market Square. Cyclists met at noon at the Square to join a mini Critical Mass Bike Ride to the Green Fest!

We enjoyed FREE live music, outdoor entertainment and adult & children’s activities plus community stalls with refreshments, ethical products and energy-saving technologies and information at Nottingham Green Festival.

Organised by grass roots, community based volunteers, with no regular statutory funding, the event featured many product, information and food stalls, kids rides, workshops, natural therapies and sustainable technologies, performers and entertainment throughout the park and live music from the bandstand.

  • There were great live great bands lined up for the bandstand, from 12noon to 6pm:
    • – Bendigo
    • – Pheonoix Samba
    • – Seven Little Sisters
    • – Tina B & Unique Vibez
    • – Motormouf
  • Check the Facebook posting for the line-up for the Spoken Word zone on the Eastside of the festival
  • Opposite the spoken word stage, courtesy of the amazing Max from StuntGirl Productions and her team, this year for the for the first time we had the Kidzone tent at the Green Festival. There was story telling from Lauren and Diane as well as other activities from festival regular MC Parker (of course!) and Hula workshops, willow wand making etc.
  • There were many great Stall holders, featuring artizan foods, crafts, eco living, vegan catering and campaigns for a sustainable future. There is a Stalls discussion on Facebook, to which you could add your stalls info.
  • Find out other plans – and add your own – at the Green Festival Facebook Event.

Your support will make all the difference in ensuring the success of Nottingham’s own Green Festival, the place for the whole family to learn, explore and try the latest in everything environmentally friendly and ethical, whilst also having lots of fun in the beautiful setting of the Arboretum Park.

Come Hungry!

Following ‘feed’back in 2015 there were double the caterers and food producers in 2016. All local, many regulars at Sneinton Market and all providing exclusively vegan food, the ethical & environmental choice for all faiths & cultures.
