Something Fishy

Veggies are up to 'Something Fishy' at Nottingham Green Festival

Something Fishy, probably the first, and best, mobile vegan fish 'n' chip stall in the world - purveyors of fine quality soya-meat and seaweed since 2008!

At the North West Vegan Festival in January 2008 activists from Manchester Animal Protection ran a popular vegan fish'n'chip stall, alongside Veggies Catering Campaign and Tangipans Kitchen.

So successful was this that on 17th May a mobile operation was launched, with an exclusive preview at the Sumac Centre, from a catering trailer adopting and refitted from Veggies Catering Campaign.

As part of an ongoing project to support and encourage other vegan campaign caterers, Veggies worked with Something Fishy at the Nottingham Green Festival on Sunday 25th May, in advance of their official launch at the Bristol Vegan Fayre on 31st Mat/1st June.

Let's hear it for tuna-friendly Tuna too!

In advance of the public launch at the Bristol Vegan Fayre an Exclusive Phish 'n' Chip Supper was held at the Sumac Centre at the People's Kitchen at 6.30 on Saturday 17th May.

To celebrate this successful launch, on Sunday 18th May Team Phish held a scrumptious vegan roast dinner with all the trimmings: Roast spuds and parsnips, fake chicken pieces, roast onion, sweetcorn, peas n' steamed carrots and delicious gravy.
