The Green Gathering 2019

A four day festival beyond hedonism powered by wind, sun and people… just the best!

Educate for sustainability, create alternatives, frolic in fields. Powered by wind, sun & people, and Food by Veggies. Veggies hope again to be supporting a Co-operators Camp together with Radical Routes & others, in the Campaigns Zone.

This year Veggies will be eligible again for the Ethical Caterer Award, having won it in 2015! We are continuing to push forward our minimal packaging  policies – extending the use of proper mugs to serving soft drinks in returnable beakers, to reduce use of single use plastics & straws.  We have now established distribution of our Ethical Consumer Best Buy Burger/Sosage Mixes to many other caterers to help raise their ethical sourcing. We have increased the hemp in the mix and aim soon to sourced our herbs, and possibly our hemp, from Bradley Nook Farm who, in 2017, donated it’s beef herd to all-life rescue and is transitioning, with our support, to vegan organic growing.

Leicester Vegan Market – June 2017

Leicester Vegan Community will be back for our first event of the year and our third Leicester Vegan Market.

FREE ENTRY

* Food * Clothes * Cosmetics * Toiletries * Art * Gifts * Information * Charities * Entertainment * Activities * And more…

We are proud to be amongst the few event organisers who run vegan events with focused support to vegan groups, businesses, charities, trades people, artists, and entertainers. We believe in having a vegan outreach approach to all our events. Veganism isn’t just about the delicious food and our events certainly aren’t about cashing in on a new trend. That’s why we run all our events on a not for profit basis, and our stalls are free to charities and community groups (so that the money they raise on the day can go to where it matters).

We make our events FREE TO ENTER so that it’s accessible to everyone.

If you’d like to volunteer to help make our events happen, please get in touch.

Lush Launch for Glasto Vegan 2017

Lush UK (Nottingham)  invited us to do vegan campaign outreach with them as an opportunity to launch our Veggies Catering Campaign Food for a Future plans for #GlastoVegan. However Glastonbury preparations and other factors mean that this will now happen after our return!

food for a future

Lush are enthusiastic about Vegan Free Food Giveaway activities both in-store & on the streets, together with vegan information & recipes etc right alongside the till. Proceeds from #CharityPot sales & will go to support our campaigns, as they have done every since our Lush Plan for Glastonbury in 2010.

We have Nakd goodies to revisit the amazing 40 cake /1600 sample cake giveaway from Bristol Vegfest, in addition to sampling of Veggies burgers, pre-glasto, to test preferences between regular (aka ‘classic’) and new ethically improved Event Burgers (40%hemp 60%veggies mixes).

If you would like to support our campaign team please contact us.

If you miss us in Nottingham, find at Veggies at Glastonbury Festival and follow Food for a Future on Facebook.

We are interested in forming stronger links with the Vegan Society and a  new Campaigners Network that they are launching. It would be a dedicated sub-group – a focused group of vegan outreach campaigners, perhaps modeled on Food For a Future &/or Leicester Vegan Campaigns. This could achieve better organised link-ups with people like Lush, Sneinton Vegan Market, School Visits etc, than Veggies is able to do alongside the 70 events that Veggies already attempts to do.

Please contact us if you are interested in helping with Vegan Outreach activities in & around Nottingham.
