The BIG London Fashion Week Anti-Fur Protest

London Fashion Week is back for 2018 with the Autumn Winter collections, meaning that fur is going to be deemed more ‘essential’ than ever by pro-fur designers. Despite many big labels like Gucci, Michael Kors, and Jimmy Choo announcing in 2017 that they are removing fur from their collections, London Fashion Week continues to provide the largest platform for fur in the UK.

As high fashion drips down into high street fashion, the relentless promotion of fur by high brow designers is culpable in the normalisation of cheap high street fur items that have been brought back into shops and market stalls. No doubt imitations of the the fur items featured in LFW this year will soon be seen donned by members of the public.

The protest will run for THREE days.

Saturday 17th: 13:00pm – 20:00pm
Sunday 18th: 13:00om – 19:00pm
Monday 19th: 11:30am – 18:00pm

The base location will be 180 The Strand, London WC2R 1EA. Please be aware that locations are subject to change and to please check this event before attending.

Please makes banners, posters and placards and bring along anti-fur leaflets to hand out to the public. Instruments, megaphones and whistles are also welcome. If you have a laptop, please bring it along so we can screen the footage to the public of the reality of the fur industry, download provided closer to the date of the protest.

In the lead up to the protest, ensure that you have signed and shared our petition!
