Northern Green Gathering will again be held at Bradley Nook Farm, the beautiful organic farm near Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Dales.
In 2017 Bradley Nook Farm donated its cows to Hillside Animal Rescue to live out their lives in sanctuary, and adopted a vegan organic future. We hope that this will inspire other Northern Green Gathering participants!
Northern Green Gathering is a small volunteer-run environmental/educational gathering focused around sustainable living and green campaigns.
A 4-day camping event with environmental workshops & campaigns, permaculture, organic veggie cafes, stalls, healers & alternative therapies, kids space, theatre & circus workshops, and a showcase of environment living in action, including solar power and wind power.
Veggies hope to be catering. If you can help, contact us!
To get to this event, 30 miles from our Sumac Centre base, Veggies may emit approx 40kg CO2.
However by helping an estimated 500 people Eat Vegan we will “offset” 1000 kg CO2.
If ONE customer goes Vegan For Life, they will save 1.5 tonnes CO2 every year, as well as saving 4022 animals lives, and enabling all the world’s peoples to receive a Fair Share of the world’s resources. [refs].
The 2019 Earth First Summer Gathering is happening at a squatted rural site near Durham.
Five days of skill-sharing for grassroots ecological direct action – make links, share ideas, and get involved in the struggles against open cast coal, fracking, new roads, climate criminals and more, followed by an action on Monday.
The Earth First! Summer Gathering is the place where people involved in radical ecological direct action – or those who want to be involved – get together for five days of time and space to talk, walk, share skills, learn, play, rant, find out what’s going on, find out what’s next, live outside, strategise, hang out, incite, laugh and conspire.
The workshops, networking and planning of actions at this low impact eco-living camp is organised non-hierarchically. It’s run without leaders by everyone who comes along, so come prepared to chip in!
The Gathering will have parallel workshops coordinated as an embedded UK Animal Rights Gathering.
Veggies will coordinate Campaign Catering, as well as a cafe space, tuck shop, vegan cake baking workshops and may host a PM Press Bookstall. To help Contact Veggies.

celebration for all. An extra night’s camping on Sunday 11 th August is available as an
Spiritual development camp
The Spiritual Development Camp began at Goddess Camp 2011 and is open to anyone
fourteen years old and upwards (under-eighteens should be accompanied by an adult.)
This camp was created to provide adults and older teenagers with a space to develop
their spiritual practices in a quiet, natural environment. There will be workshops to help
you explore your beliefs and the opportunity to try new ways of working. Alternatively
you can simply take advantage of the peaceful atmosphere to relax, explore the
beautiful woodland in Bestwood Country Park and practise as you like.

A four day festival beyond hedonism powered by wind, sun and people… just the best!
Educate for sustainability, create alternatives, frolic in fields. Powered by wind, sun & people, and Food by Veggies. Veggies hope again to be supporting a Co-operators Camp together with Radical Routes & others, in the Campaigns Zone.
This year Veggies will be eligible again for the Ethical Caterer Award, having won it in 2015! We are continuing to push forward our minimal packaging policies – extending the use of proper mugs to serving soft drinks in returnable beakers, to reduce use of single use plastics & straws. We have now established distribution of our Ethical Consumer Best Buy Burger/Sosage Mixes to many other caterers to help raise their ethical sourcing. We have increased the hemp in the mix and aim soon to sourced our herbs, and possibly our hemp, from Bradley Nook Farm who, in 2017, donated it’s beef herd to all-life rescue and is transitioning, with our support, to vegan organic growing.
