Islington Vegan Market

Islington has a Vegan Market at Nag’s Head twice each month, with a fabulous selection of vegan traders: from French pâtisserie to cookies and shortbread, mind-blowing vegan cheeses, Italian, Korean and Indian hot food, juices and smoothies, and organic handmade soaps.

Canada Goose – weekly fur trade protest

Join us every Saturday to fight animal abuse at Canada Goose, 244 Regent Street, London, W1F 2EL!

We must keep the pressure on CG – our protests are affecting their sales! Potential customers have been turned away, when they find out about the horrific cruelty in producing their jackets.

The general public are supporting us! so please come along and stand up for other species which are persecuted for fashion.

If you’re new to demonstrations, our friendly outreachers will welcome you and guide you. So empower yourself to the cause of Animal Rights!

Please bring LAPTOPS with CG footage, PLACARDS (we love the creativity) and LOUD-HAILERS.

Thank you.
The Fur-Bearers
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)

This is a regular weekly event, until further notice.

EVERYONE is welcome to attend but if you’re not yet vegan please do not wear or consume any animal products on the day. One of the most popular and predictable things thrown at us at every event is “you all have leather shoes on!” Its so common and we must stand a united front that the lives of all animals is equally important.

Meeting point will be inside CAVENDISH SQUARE. Please be there by 4.45 pm, please arrive early if you want to grab some food or a coffee.

Please bring
~ Laptops with Canada Goose specific footage, not footage from fur farms – link below

VegfestUK London 2018

The UK’s biggest and most popular vegan festival VegfestUK London returns to Olympia London on the weekend October 27th – 28th, 2018, with a series of dynamic and interesting special guests and features to be announced, and a whole new level added to meet increased demand from both stallholders and visitors.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to see the return of VegfestUK London to Olympia London for the 6th year running,” said the organisers, “and even more so to be adding a whole new level to the event. For 2018, we’ll see Level 2 Olympia Central open for the first time, adding an extra 3,200 square metres of exhibition space for the weekend. This will give us an opportunity to significantly increase visitors experience and comfort, with the addition of some new features and rooms to accommodate both growth in the number of exhibitors and visitors.”

This year’s edition attracted a record-breaking 280 exhibitors, around 150 speakers and around 14,000 visitors in total over the weekend. With the sharp rise of interest in all things vegan at the moment, expect the 2018 event to be even busier than ever before.

The event website will go live for stall bookings in early 2018, with advance tickets going on sale in the summer of 2018 (event subject to contract).

The Official Animal Rights March 2018 | London

UNITE FOR THE ANIMALS!

The Official Animal Rights March is an annual march founded by UK animal rights organisation Surge. The march began in London in 2016 with 2,500 vegans and in 2017 the march doubled to 5,000 vegans marching in London for animal liberation. In 2018 we want to see THOUSANDS MORE vegans taking over the streets of London, demanding an end to all animal oppression.

In order to make this march bigger than ever before, we need your help. Invite your friends, tell every vegan you meet, this is the day that we unite, where we stand up, rise up and say no more, not in our name.

This march will be bigger, bolder, brighter and louder than any year prior. The future is vegan, but we must continue to speak out on behalf of the animals until the day that their suffering ends.

All details, including the route will be published closer to the time.

Save the date, spread the word – and let’s make history for the animals.

Trailer coming soon.

Awakening Compassion demo in London

Please join us on Awakening Compassion demo in London.

Find the next event via We Are The Numbers Vegan on Facebook and click “Going” only if you really intend to come, if you support the demo but can not come in person click “Interested”. This will make the planning easier for us 🙂 Thank you!

We will be holding beautiful pictures of animals with the messages which will hopefully make some/many people think.

If you never got involved in a vegan outreach because you did not want to shout this demo is for you. It is static, respectful and silent.

The demo will be silent. If we get at least 10 people to hold the placards in the same time the message is already very powerful but we have 40 beautiful placards so if we could get 40-50 people to hold the placards and distribute the leaflets it would be amazing. I hope this event will grow in numbers month by month. Please imagine how powerful it will become when we have 100 or 200 people standing together showing our vegan power!

I would like to ask those of you who decide to hold the placards not to engage in discussions with the public. Everyone interested in our message can discuss the concerns with people leafleting to make the placards better visible to passers by.

Those of us who decide to give the leaflets to the public please engage in discussion with the deepest respect to other people’s beliefs regardless the fact how different they can be to ours. Before coming to the demo please get ready to hear: “I love my bacon”, “animals have no souls”, “I eat animals because they are so tasty”, “I love dogs but choose to eat pigs”, etc. etc. I know they hurt us but each time we start an argument we may do a disfavour to our cause. We can agree that we disagree and go to talk to people who are interested in our message and are ready to hear it and I guarantee you there are plenty of those people.

During the demos we will be distributing Animal Aid leaflets “Friends or Food” and Vegan Society leaflets “Why Vegan?”.

Details may change some months so please check the Facebook page before attending

If you want to know more please message via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/we.are.the.numbers.Vegan/

Please send RSVP only if you intend to come and in case something changes, change your RSVP or send a message that you can not make it.
