Planning meetings continue for Nottingham Green Festival, a sustainable-themed festival, organised by a volunteer cooperative planning group. Nottingham Green Festival have sadly decided to cancel the event at The Arboretum planned for 13th September 2020. As you will imagine it was a tough decision, but the organising group can now work on other options, including: booking for the 2021 Nottingham Green Festival, provisionally on Sunday 12th September 2021. a smaller bonus event in the Spring, possibly in April soon…Find out more »
LAST YEAR'S DETAILS (1st Sept 2019) FOR FOX SAKE... a benefit gig to raise awareness and funding for Nottingham Hunt Saboteurs and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, hosted at Rough Trade Nottingham. With live sets from JOHN PAUL + RAT, YOU WANT FOX, and GEORGIE alongside DJ sets from RUSSEL FENBY, HEMULEN SOUNDZ, and KAT AMONG THE PIGEONS. Nottingham's Rainbow Centre opened at 180 Mansfield Road on 9th September 1985, the co-operative having been established on 9th April 1984 by campaigners for peace, animal rights, human rights, civil liberties and the environment. Veggies Catering Campaign (established 18th October 1984) moved in from Earthwise (the FoE Shop next door) when it closed, later taking on the day-to-day running of the centre. Sumac meetings are currently held at 6pm on the 2nd Saturday off each month, to include the People's Kitchen Meal (rather than on the first Monday). All are welcome to come and participate.
