Minutes haven’t been filed since June.
Bigup Dave Bishop for doing some painting, bigup Tom G for killing the tree
Matters arising – Locks finished, PAT testing not finished yet,
mediation between veggies and SYC not happened yet
Veggies – 30th anniversary in 2 weeks time!
Sumac cafe – cleaning work being carried out this week preparing for
environmental health
Linda to look at oven
Garden – How can we encourage more people to take on beds? Is anyone
coordinating the garden anymore?
Bar collective – Tom G stepping down, new members of bar collective needed
Food bank – closing down at the end of the year
Finance –
We think there is money there to paint the windows at the front of the
building
We have about £3700 in the bank after repaying emergency loans from
savings account (£1500 from this year) (£545.59 mortgage repayment from
last year)
Abdul’s rent hasn’t been paid for this year (£330 was due in August)
could someone let him know.

Regular repayments coming in from Malachi
Suggestion: write letters of thanks to everyone who is donating regularly
Need more volunteers who are prepared to take on the finance job for the
next year or two – Tom and Kate want to hand over
Can someone reorganise the filing cabinet so important documents are
kept safe but clearly labeled?
Youth Club – On hiatus – Tom H to ask Dom about SYC phone
Abdul – is he moving? Pat to speak to him, invite him to spend rent
money on improving his facilities
ESOL coming back in February
Film collective?
Social centres gathering – more help needed with organising – Camille to
take posters and flyers to anarchist bookfair
Chairs?
Radical Routes – Radical rumours submission needed by friday. Pat to
forward Social Centres gathering email to radical routes list
Sustrans event – Camille – high vis and bike light giveaway OR organise
a meal with demonstration and discussion from Ridewise – needs to talk
to Abdul – idea to coincide with clock change
Sustrans to pay rent for sumac – suggestion of approximately £60
Does the sumac want a bike storage thingie
Keys – ask George and Screaming Carrot if they are happy to be key
holders – let recharge know
Does anyone know who put “Green Fair” into the diary for the 19th
October? Is it a real thing?
8th October – Kitchen cleaning day, PA booked out by Pete
17th October – 10 oclock Horses playing
