Breaking the Frame 2015

Breaking the Frame 2015 is gathering/conference at Unstone Grange near Sheffield, with campaign catering by Veggies.
The gathering brings together a network of individuals and campaign groups focusing on the politics of technology.
If you’re interested in climate change, food sovereignty, extreme/renewable energy, nuclear power, surveillance, military technology, GM food, trade union issues, alternative technologies get in touch.
The 2015 Breaking the Frame gathering is just one week away (9th to 12th July). We have an exciting programme with speakers from RisingTide, ETC Group, The Gaia Foundation, Hazards Magazine, the Open Rights Group and many others. There will be a mixture of panels on issues like gender and the politics of technology, alternative technology, and technology and sustainable futures, and workshops on the technology politics of food, energy, surveillance, health, etc. We’ve managed to combine a packed programme with plenty of time for relaxing in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, and there will be food by Veggies, real ale and evening entertainment. Breaking the Frame is the place to be if you want to be part of the growing technology politics network.
We encourage you to book in advance, especially if you want a bed in the house; however, it’s OK if you decide to turn up on the spur of the moment. We hope you’ll be able to stay for the whole gathering: because we are trying to build the network and make links between different issues, we would prefer that. But if you can’t manage that, of course you’re welcome to come for the day.
