Global Divestment Day action

We’re going to bring the Council employees into our divestment campaign with the offer of some lunch-break cake and chat outside the County Council offices. We’re also going to make sure that the pension fund committee know we’re watching them closely.
The plan is to meet employees as they go into work that morning and invite them to come out on their lunch break to share some XR cake with us. We can use the opportunity to talk with them about how pension scheme divestment makes sense for them and answer any questions they may have. In between these phases, we’ll get some Rebels into the public gallery so that they can feel our eyes on them (this will likely be silent). There is talk of Rebels equipped with binoculars/telescopes and ear funnels, but this is to be confirmed!
Timings and details will be confirmed asap and Rebels don’t have to be there the whole time. Keep your eyes peeled for updates!
