Introduction to making RAW: Foods, Cakes & Treats
Mon 16th April, 2018 @ 10:30 - 13:30
RAW means using ingredients that are not cooked in any way, maintaining 100% of their nutritional values.
It is recommended that we eat a RAW diet 60% of the time in order to maximise the nutrients we get from unprocessed, raw fruits and vegetables as well as giving our digestive systems a chance to ‘breath’.
You will create some of the following dishes:
Starter: Spiral courgettes smothered with an avocado, pesto and cashew cream pesto
Main: Lasagne made with courgettes, tofu, tomatoes and avocado, a cashew cream white sauce and a basil pesto with a chilli and tomato oil drizzle, raw pizza flaxseed cracker based topped with fresh vegetables and covered with cashew cream and basil and sun-dried tomato pesto.
Dessert: Raw chocolate torte OR key lime pie
Snacks: Raw energy balls
Parking: The nearest council car parks are All Hallows, by the bus station, or Queen Street. Queen Street is slightly further away however the first two hours are free even during the week and a lower hourly rate after that.
