Discussion led by Dr Nickianne Moody of Liverpool John Moores University and Sophie Clapp Head Archivist at Boots. The Boots library was the biggest chain of circulating libraries in this country, established in 1899 and running into the mid-1960s. In 1903 there were eight such libraries in Nottingham. This is their history.
