Norwich Vegans Welcome James Aspey and Joey Carbstrong

Wed 12th July, 2017 @ 17:30 - 21:00

The Norwich Vegans are very proud to welcome James Aspey and Joey Carbstrong to Norwich.

James and Joe will be in the U.K. for the UK Vegan Camp-Out 2017 July 7th- 9th. If you can’t make the camp-out though, don’t worry! James and Joe have very kindly agreed to come and see us in Norwich. They’re be doing a talk each and a Q&A session. We’ll have a range of fantastic vegan food for purchase available from 5:30pm, when the doors open, with an upstairs café and the garden for eating, but please note that there’s no food allowed in the main room where the talks will take place. Talks will start at 7pm, running until 8:30, with the event finishing at 9pm. Food will be available for takeaway after the talks. We’re requesting a £1 donation per person please, to cover the meeting house hire. We do have a 200 person seating limit for health and safety, so please only book your tickets if you’re sure you can make it.

If you’ve not heard of James or Joe, look them up, quick! This is an event you won’t want to miss!

“Replaced drugs, cancer & bulimia with surfing, veganism & meditation. Now it’s my goal in life to educate, encourage and inspire others.
I took a 1yr Vow of Silence, cycled 5000km, got tattooed for 25hrs and have given over 150 speeches to do my part in making this world a better place for us ALL to live!”

From Joey’s camp-out page http://vegancampout.co.uk/artist/joey-carbstrong/

“Hi my name is Joey Carbstrong from Adelaide, Australia. I am a fierce advocate for animal rights and a sober lifestyle promoter. I spent 12 years of my life abusing drugs and alcohol and was heavily involved with gangs and violent crime. After spending some time in prison I had an epiphany which changed my life forever. I’ve overcame a Number of mental health issues and have been drug-free for over three years and I will never look back. I now spend my time promoting a sober vegan lifestyle and passionately defending animal rights with my street activism and social media presence. I also counsel and support people going through addiction and depression or just wanting to go vegan. Im grateful for my second chance at life and I’m just at the beginning of my journey to helping make this world a better place. Peace.”
