People’s Kitchen – Refugee Action Fundraiser
Sat 6th February, 2016 @ 19:00
A delightful dish is cooked and served at the Sumac Cafe by a different volunteer team each Saturday.
On Saturday 6th Feb Beccy of Beccy’s Global Kitchen is cooking up food with lots of love to raise money for Refugee Action Nottingham.
Refugee Action Nottingham was formed as response to the ever growing refugee crisis. They are organising a Nottingham-wide collection for the survival of the refugees in Europe.
Their aim is to fill & send 5 shipping containers with your donations. They are fundraising to pay for the shipping containers, all monies raised goes directly on this, the group are working entirely voluntry. The Sumac Centre will also be drop off point for any donations of clothing etc you may have. For list of required items see RefugeeActionNottingham on Facebook
Food is served at 7pm until all gone. The Forest Fields Social Club Bar follows from 7.30.
Food at Sumac is vegan, so is suitable for all diets and all cultures (call to ensure gluten free or other special options).
People’s Kitchen provides a great opportunity for people wishing to show off their cooking skills (whether personally vegan or not) or for novice cooks seeking an opportunity to learn more. Please contact us for more details.
Hurrah! Refugee Action fundraising #PeoplesKitchen meal at #SumacCentre has been rescheduled for 6 Feb https://t.co/vLdq9mnsw1 @Beccyspurr
