Robin Hood vs Fracking in Bolsover, Shirebrook & Creswell
Fracking firm INEOS wants to hunt for shale gas in Sherwood Forest. Its fracking plans threaten a swathe of central England. But we have other plans.
Inspired by the legend of Robin Hood and the people who united with him against injustice, local communities everywhere are fighting back against the fracking industry. That’s why Friends of the Earth have teamed up with groups across the area to organise a series of free lantern-making workshops, fun family-friendly street theatre performances and a grand dress-up lantern parade.
Join us this Spring to say: no fracking in my ‘hood!

Mon 26 – Fri 30 Mar there will be free lantern-making workshops in different venues around Bolsover, Shirebrook and Creswell. Reserving your space is essential so please use the links below to book in.
Join us for a series of fun, family-friendly events on Sat 31 March:
Robin and his Merrie Band will be performing on the streets of Bolsover from midday. Everyone is invited to parade with their newly made lanterns in Bolsover Town Centre on the evening of Saturday 31st March, starting at Castle Street at 8pm. No booking required – just turn up!
