Join our Light Brigade against UoN Animal Research!

Over the last few months we have been collaborating with the Animal Justice Project to gather information on the cruel experiments undertaken by the University of Nottingham, mainly in the QMC and their Sutton Bonnington Campus. By using Freedom of Information requests, the AJP have created a Nottingham-specific leaflet on actual experiments carried out here by people working at the university.
With this knowledge, and a previous press release from a couple of months back we will be holding a demo on the Ningbo friendship bridge. We will be holding placards spelling out ‘Uni of Notts tortures animals”. Many of the experiments carried out here were classed as ‘severe’ in the pain level. This is the highest pain level you can inflict on an animal, according to their scale. This is barbaric and unnecessary! Pure torture. These animals include rats, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, sheep, cows, poultry, among others.

A similar demo has been carried out in Bristol. It was a great success and this kind of demo shows the public that behind closed doors, the university is paying for animals to be tortured.
