Experience: Experienced café worker and caterer with “Veggies”, I have been involved with the Rainbow Centre for the last two years as the main computer hardware technician, having “built” several of his own computers in the past. Basic DIY skills and experience of working in the building trade. I also have a BA Honours degree in Human Education.
Character Strengths: I have worked with many different individuals and groups on different projects/events over the last two years and takes pride in the work he does.
Other Information: Member of “Liberation” housing co-op; enjoys painting and creative art.
Experience: A freelance music reviewer /writer who enjoys making his own music with studio equipment that he has built up. Experience in putting on art exhibitions and applying for funds for art projects. Self taught graphic designer.

Experience: One of the founder members of the current Rainbow Centre café, he has been involved at the centre for the last 3-4 years, and has done occasional catering with “Veggies” at outdoor events for the past 7 years. With a BA Honours degree in Countryside Management, he is a founder member and company director of “Wild Things”, an ecological education workers co-op. This has led to him making lots of contacts with in Nottinghamshire country parks, schools and many independent education centres. For the last three years he has have been a part time youth worker for Bestwood Youth Project, and has recently become a fully qualified youth worker. He has extensive experience of an “organiser” role within current Rainbow Centre and various campaign groups. First Aid certificate.
Character Strengths: A high amount of initiative, a hard worker and many years experience of structuring his time to get tasks done. Good with people, and listening to different viewpoints means that he is able to diffuse situations and give reassurance both with adults and teenagers.

Experience: She has a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies and qualified as a nurse in 1995, and has worked as an auxiliary nurse at Queens Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital since then. With catering experience through the cafe at the Rainbow Centre as well as with “Veggies”, She has co-ordinated meals for large groups of people at various events.
Character Strengths: Open minded and hard working. Able to communicate at all levels. Experience of counselling people and dealing with members of the public. Good humoured and easy to get along with.
Other Information: A talented cook and a keen gardener, with her allotment; member of NEDS housing co-op; interests include alternative medicine, wine making and clothes making. She is about to start a part-time correspondence course in herbal medicine.
Experience: She is a graduate in Ecology. She has a lot of catering experience through the Rainbow Centre and previously at a co-operatively run vegetarian restaurant,- The Treehouse, Dove St, Norwich. A professional musician, She started a Nottingham based company called the “Kids Ceildh” earlier this year and had a successful summer putting on events for various children’s groups, including the Council’s Summer Play Festival. She has had lots of experience in organising gigs with the band that she plays in, and as a member of a national network of musicians.

Other Information: A keen allotment gardener; enjoys cooking and is well practised at catering for large numbers; experienced facilitator in meetings; some experience in research and fund-raising.
Experience: He has three years experience in helping run the cafe at the current Rainbow Centre as well as doing outdoor events with “Veggies”. He has taken an active role in the day to day running of the centre as a whole, so has administration experience complimented by an A-level in Business studies and Communication Studies. With DIY skills and welding experience, he has helped with the building of a straw bale “house” at Eco-works on Hungerhill Allotments. Experience: Formerly a bar manager, he has a NVQ level 1 & 2 in serving food and drink and is experienced in all aspects of the practical running of a bar such as cellar duties and stock taking. He has an ONC in sound engineering/ music technology and is a musician with experience of organising concerts/gigs. He has plenty of experience of working within a group and is a qualified First Aider.

Experience: Experienced bar worker with two years experience of helping run the current Rainbow cafe. He is a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from Nottingham University and a qualified First Aider. He sat on Nottingham Student Unions’ council for two years and was a delegate for the union for NUS conference and on the Union Environment committee for three years. Andrew also served on the off-campus junior common room committee for 2 years and Rutland Hall JCR for 1 year. During his time at University he set up and organised a university environmental society, Action for Earth. He is computer literate and helped to create the Rainbow Centre website. He has since then designed and maintained other websites.
Character Strengths: Good at working on his own initiative and easy to get along with; a good facilitator and, through working in various unions/groups experienced in consensus decision making.
Experience: Currently working part time for the charity “Mencap” as office administration clerk. Past jobs include bar staff and waitressing. A BTEC First in Business and Finance, a BA Honours degree in Philosophy with Woman’s Studies. Experienced in administration and basic book keeping as well as word processing and graphics.
Character Strengths: Hard working; used to working with other people ; experienced in dealing with the public both face to face and over the phone.

Experience: Has helped to run an environmental information network. Has also worked for the Wildlife Trust so has experience of fund raising, publicity, journalism and dealing with the press and public. Experience: Two years experience working as a vegan chef and waitress in a vegan workers co-operative “Salamanders Restaurant” Nottingham. Currently works at “Squeak” a new vegan restaurant, that replaced “Salamander”. Two years working with “Veggies Catering Company”.
Character Strengths: A hard worker who is extremely reliable, with good time keeping skills. Friendly attitude which holds her in good stead when dealing with customers, and other members of the public.

Experience: He has 5 years experience of catering with Veggies and The Rainbow Centre. He is a trained residential social worker and nursery nurse. He is also an ex-assistant manager of the Castle Pub in Nottingham (1988) he also has extensive retail experience from time as a sales assistant.
