Justice for Steve Christmas

Steve Christmas was run down on Friday 1st September by a thug's 4X4, in what appears to be a premeditated attack at one of the first hunt meets of the season. Steve was one of four sabs disrupting the Old Surrey, Burstow and West Kent foxhunt near Horsted Keynes, where the hunt were 'cubbing'- the cuddly term for letting your dogs tear foxcubs to bits to get a taste for blood.

Dawn Preston, spokesperson for the Hunt Saboteurs Association, stated: "This incident shows both the hunters and hunt supporters blatant disregard for life - whether it be human or animal. It must be a sick and twisted individual indeed who is so fearful of his favourite 'sport' being banned that he tries to kill those who seek to prevent him from torturing our wildlife."

Although Steve is now out of hospital, he faces a long & painful recovery. A support campaign pledges to ensure legal justice, and invites financial support for his family, as it will be some time before he in well enough to return to work.

Details of the campaign to end hunting in Surrey, Kent and Sussex, including the Old Surrey, Burstow and West Kent Foxhunt, can be found at the website of the Surrey Anti Hunt Campaign
