Brighton Vegan Beer & Cider Festival 2018

Brighton’s VEGAN festival is set to impress across three massive days here at the Cowley Club.
Due to popular demand and success and great feedback u, we decided to spoil Brighton’s vegan community with another .treat

There should be something for everyone. Ale, stouts, lagers, ciders, non alcoholic fermented drinks such as kombucha and kefir and obviously lots of herbal teas and coffees. Expect as well loads of other treats such as amazing and scrumptious plant based food, mountains of sinfully delicious cakes and obviously the infamous mouthwatering “pork” pies that went down like a storm and we couldn’t make enough of.

Be surprised by the wide selection of local beers and ciders made without any animal derived finings

Last time we had almost 30 different brews from 14 local producers, this time we might go even more crazy and spoil you for choice even mooooore.

For more updates/news follow VeGanBeerBN1 on Twitter

There will be as well great music and live bands and this time even some wild dancing on Saturday night, the rumour says. During the day we will be open to the public so you will have chance to check out what the “normally” “closed & weird looking” private member’s club / vegan community space is all about.

Our amazing radical library at the back should be open as well so why not sign up and borrow some rare thought provoking books, magazines, zones or DVDs.

On Sunday we will be serving scrumptious Sunday roast prepared by Brighton Hunt Saboteurs and raising money for they direct action activism.

With the veganism gaining popularity all over country and in Brighton especially, it would be a shame not to visit and find out more about Brighton’s first and only not for profit and entirely run by volunteers/ from day one, back in 2003 till now / 100% vegan community and grassroots hub and all the campaigns and action groups it supports.

Conversations with Cows

One of the most surreal events at Hugletts Wood made even more special by the combination of great music, good food and the company of the residents. A late afternoon spent in the fields with the two herds of cows, followed by something sparkling in the cherry orchard. A three course vegan meal of your choice cooked from our menu by Paj and Simon of Vegan Earthlings is served at table before V Vega take to the stage and share their uniquely memorable music; influenced by the likes of Foals, Deftones and Radiohead, they blend rock, ambient alternative and pop. As dusk falls and the cows in the paddock gather round to enjoy the show, the solar-powered fairy lights will gently illuminate the orchard. Tickets £22.50 including choice of meal

Stab in the Dark – A Hugletts Whodunnit

It’s not every day you are invited to help solve a Murder Mystery at an Animal Sanctuary, especially Hugletts Wood!

Well, there’s a body in the barn! We recognise the face, made all the more easy by the smoking shotgun, laying at its side. What we want to know is what it’s doing here and I guess more importantly whodunnit…….

The Scarlet Pimple will share all the clues along the way as he guides us to the solution; with an extra-special prize for the one who solves the mystery”

Tickets £10.00 each – Cafe all afternoon for snacks and refreshments.

Cow hugging and lamb feeds are a bonus.

Numbers limited to make this a very personal event!!
