Earth First Summer Gathering 2025

The Earth First! Summer Gathering is the place where people involved in radical ecological direct action – or those who want to be involved – get together for five days of time and space to talk, walk, share skills, learn, play, rant, find out what’s going on, find out what’s next, live outside, strategise, hang out, incite, laugh and conspire.

The workshops, networking and planning of actions at this low impact eco-living camp is organised non-hierarchically. It’s run without leaders by everyone who comes along, so come prepared to chip in.

Save the date! The 2025 Earth First Summer Gathering will be 7 – 11 August. Location tbc. The gathering is a time to come together to celebrate our movement and build radical ecological resistance in these isles. Never been to an EF gathering? No problem, new comers are very welcome. Join us for workshops, music, discussion and connecting to like-minded people fighting for social and ecological revolution.

Join us for 3 days of critical reflections and visioning on the EF! movement. Where have we been? Where are we? Where are we going? Wheelchair accessible venue near Nottingham. Limited capacity – you must register! Affinity groups/orgs are encouraged to send delegates. No dogs 🙁

Earth First! is a banner for independent groups who share a common need to protect our ecological systems. We believe in non-hierarchical direct action, to stop and reverse the forces responsible for the destruction of the earth and its inhabitants.

Earth First! Summer Gathering 2024

Respect existence or expect resistance!

30th ever EarthFirst! Summer Gathering in the UK!

The summer gathering will take place 24-29th of July on a beautiful apple orchard near Shrewsbury.

Five days of skill-sharing for grassroots ecological direct action – make links, share ideas, and get involved in the struggles against open cast coal, fracking, new roads, HS2, climate criminals and more.

There will be a kids’ space and programme, more info to follow! If you intend on bringing a dog friend, please let us know beforehand – there is limited space for dogs!

The schedule will be on display and you will be given a printed copy upon arrival. Spoiler alert – it will be amazing.

Veggies Catering Campaign are likely to be helping with the campaign catering.

There will be three meals a day, a cafe space with tea, coffee and cake– but it might be good to bring more bits and bobs if you know you might feel snacky in between meals. We ask everyone to leave a donation if you can (cash only!), but no-one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Earth First! Winter Moot 2024 at Sumac Centre

Join the ecological resistance at a weekend of campaign updates, networking, planning, solidarity and socialising.

You are invited to attend the Earth First! Winter Moot. It’s a gathering for people involved or wanting to know more about ecological campaigning and direct action in the UK.

9 -11 February, 2024. A weekend of food, music, skillshares and radical ecological rabble rousing ✊

We would particularly be pleased to hear from local supporters that could offer a room, sofa or floor to help accommodate those attending.

Those taking their first steps into ecological campaigning are warmly welcomed. There will be debates, discussions on campaign planning, updates, support and solidarity, tactics, strategies, community building, sustainable activism and networking including groups campaigning against fracking, incineration, new roads, GM (genetic engineering), animal exploitation and much more.

Love Your Planet; Strike For It!

Nottingham YouthStrike4Climate will be taking to the streets of Nottingham to demand an end to the climate crisis under the title “Love Your Planet; Strike For It!”.

In addition, we still need to organise some of the details for the day and so we are having an open planning meeting which all groups and individuals are welcome to attend.

International Rebellion UK – Shut Down London!

Our leaders have failed us. It’s time to rebel – and have a damn good time doing it.

Climate breakdown and ecological collapse threaten our existence. Another world is possible, and it’s just within reach. It’s going to take everything we’ve got to get there. So we’re pulling out all the stops and rising up in a full-scale Rebellion against this twisted system to save ourselves and the natural world from extinction.

Meet at Parliament Square at 11am on Monday 15th of April. Come to London to stay – this is not a one-day march. Book two weeks off work, or go on strike. Think festival, arrange to stay with friends or bring camping gear. We will be blockading the city, engaging in civil disobedience, taking direct action, and joined by amazing acts will be performing at sites to be revealed closer to the time.
