We always give priority to direct action campaigns that are looking to mobilise people, but we are open to all kinds of related topics around that. Derbyshire Woodland Festival is an annual celebration of traditional and contemporary woodland crafts. It is a brilliant day out for all the family.
Watch expert woodcraft professionals at work, learn how to survive in the woods and to cook wild food or simply take a walk through the magnificent Elvaston Castle grounds.
The event will be held at Elvaston Castle Country Park with Food by Veggies Catering Campaign.

To get to this event 15 miles from our Sumac Centre base, Veggies may emit approx 20kg CO2 .
However by helping 250 people Eat Vegan we could “offset*” 500 kg CO2.
If ONE customer goes Vegan For Life, they will save 1.5 tonnes CO2 every year, as well as saving 4022 animals lives, and enabling all the world’s peoples to receive a Fair Share of the world’s resources. [references]

This year or next Veggies will be eligible again for the Ethical Caterer Award, having won it in 2015! By August 2018 we hope to have established distribution of our Ethical Consumer Best Buy Burger/Sosage Mixes to many other caterers to help raise their ethical sourcing. We will have increased the hemp in the mix and will have sourced our herbs, and possibly our hemp, from Bradley Nook Farm who, in 2017, donated it’s beef herd to all-life rescue and is transitioning, with our support, to vegan organic growing.
