Sustainable St Albans – SustFest Market Takeover

The Sustainability Festival 2019 is taking over the St Albans Market for a whole day on Sunday 19th May!  It’s all about how local residents can reduce their carbon footprint and live more sustainably.

We are interested in any organisation that wants to take part: we already have lots of organisations booked for the event, and we still have spaces for more! Whether you want a stall, can run an activity, or play music, juggle or dance!

Details at https://sustainablestalbans.org/get-started/sustfest-market-take-over/

The Market Takeover – from 11am to 5pm – will have food/drink stalls, live music and other entertainment, children’s activities, and environmental charity stalls.

We have a huge display of electric vehicles, electric bikes, pedal bikes, local youth groups and other stalls that promote sustainability and reducing your carbon footprint with a focus on the five main things residents can do to reduce your carbon footprint and live sustainably.

However by helping an estimated 300 people Eat Vegan we will “offset” 600kg CO2.

If ONE customer goes Vegan For Life, they will save 1.5 tonnes CO2 every year, as well as saving 4022 animals lives, and enabling all the world’s peoples to receive a Fair Share of the world’s resources. [refs].
