Derbyshire Woodland Festival 2023

Derbyshire Woodland Festival is an annual celebration of traditional and contemporary woodland crafts. It is a brilliant day out for all the family.

To get to this event 15 miles from our Sumac Centre base, Veggies may emit approx 20kg CO2 .

However by helping 250 people Eat Vegan we could “offset*” 500 kg CO2.

If ONE customer goes Vegan For Life, they will save 1.5 tonnes CO2 every year, as well as saving 4022 animals lives, and enabling all the world’s peoples to receive a Fair Share of the world’s resources. [references]

Woodland Trust mass tree planting

Come and join us this autumn for the first tree planting at the new Young People’s Forest at Mead, as part of the #iwill campaign to promote youth social action.

Help us plant the first trees on the former opencast site adjacent to Shipley County Park in Derbyshire where local young people have the opportunity to get involved and help direct it’s future development.

The event will run from 10 til 12 and 1 til 3pm so please book on either session here: https://woodlandtrusttickets.cloudvenue.co.uk/meadautumntreeplanting2019

No previous tree planting experience necessary, just wear suitable clothing and footwear. Spades provided but bring your own if you can. Parking at Shipley Country Park Car Park, Slack Lane, Heanor, Derbyshire, DE75 7GX where signage will direct you to the tree planting area.

Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
