Grow Your Own

Nottingham City Council invite you to GROW YOUR OWN, a celebration of Allotment, Community Garden and backyard food growing.
The event will be based around Woodthorpe Grange’s plant nursery and the old walled garden and will be an opportunity for people involved in growing their own food – and those thinking about growing their own – to find out more about what is happening locally. Plus lots of hints and tips from local experts and some fun activities.

To get to this event, 2.4 miles from our Sumac Centre base, Veggies may emit approx 3kg CO2.
However by helping an estimated 200 people Eat Vegan we will “offset” 400 kg CO2.
If ONE customer goes Vegan For Life, they will save 1.5 tonnes CO2 every year, as well as saving 4022 animals lives, and enabling all the world’s peoples to receive a Fair Share of the world’s resources. [carbon calculation references].
